I can't authenticate to smugmug successfully (yes, I'm
typing the correct credentials).
I proceed with the next step anyway, I get this in the error log:

Failed to retrieve albums: invalid API key
 at Mono.SmugMug.AuthenticatedConnection.GetAlbums()
 at Migratr.SmugMugPhotoService.importFromSource(String filePath)

Wait, I found it! Or some of it, at least.

You describe what Migratr is here: http://www.callingshotgun.net/about/migratr/

And link to it from your About Me page.

Just a friendly suggestion from the cheap seats - you should link to your main project in your navigation, or create a page called Projects or something. That'd be a lot easier.

I'm guessing this runs on Windows (C sharp is your language du jour). I'll check it out at work some time. Thanks!

Hi -
I found Migratr while search around for a way to move photos from PhotoSite or Snapfish to Flickr. I thought I was on to something, but I really can't find any description of what Migratr actually is. Or what systems it runs on. Or anything about the software other than updates. Can you please post a comment answering those two questions?

Lastly, I found on your forum that you can't support Snapfish because they don't have an API. That's a bummer. Any idea if there is a way around that, like another product that you've heard of? Many thanks!

Just installed Migratr 0.8 on top of the previous version, and it kept showing error messages. A clean install did the trick.

Also have to authorise Migratr each time (though Flickr knows this has already happened), as pressing Import crashes.

There's a couple of things I'd like to see in Migratr. One is a resume feature, so if there are any problems with uploads or downloads midway, this can continue when opening Migratr again. Also applies to new photos added to a site after Migratr downloaded older files previously.

And also, the filename for the downloaded photos have numbers only in them. As I'd like to have an offline backup of the photos, could they be named after the title of the photos. FlickrDown does this, but without the metadata to upload again.

This latter one is important to me, as I'm finding it hard to manage all the photos! Good to hear you have the source code again after the crash, you should always make a backup in future, even though this is something I should do!

Thanks Alexander, your tool is great!
It should be nice to give the possibility to choose which imported images will be exported (this in case of multiple import/export).
Anyway, great job! Thanks

what is the id that are you using while filling out your credenials?

it is @gmail.com or simply .. try the later
also trying creating a dummy web album on picasa before you start migratr. this might help.
