Migratr 1.01 – Quick update to ordering flickr images.
I’ve gotten a lot of feedback from a lot of users who are using Migratr to move photos between flickr accounts. Because of the way flickr orders photos (they place the most recent photos first), downloading from one flickr account and uploading to a different flickr account flips the ordering of all your photos, messing things up for users who (like myself) tend to treat flickr as a sort of “photo lifestream”.
So I decided to make a quick update, and flip the ordering. Basically, in the new version, photos are downloaded from flickr Oldest-To-Newest, instead of the default Newest-To-Oldest.
Also, a small bugfix for the new upload interface- There was an issue where if a photo was checked under multiple “sets” for the set-style photo services (flickr, 23hq, zooomr), it would upload the photo multiple times.
This has been fixed.
Enjoy the release!

Guess I can answer my own question, it will do incremental as long as you import into the same folder. Thanks again!
PS – a faq would be a nice addition to the sidebar
Hi Alex!
Great program–thanks! The Zooomr upload function is MUCH appreciated. I have been hoping for a program that would do this for a very long time, and I’m glad someone stepped up to the plate!
A couple of suggestions for next version: when you click ‘Import’ under Step 3, it takes a while for it to start displaying file names. You might want to put a message up in the meantime that says, ‘Importing, please wait’ or something like that.
Also, on the same page, you might want to make it so that ‘Continue to Exporting’ is greyed out until it’s finished exporting. The first time I used the program, I thought it wasn’t doing anything at first, because there were no status updates and that button was available.
Keep up the good work!
Awesome thanks! While it doesn’t really help me at the moment, it caused a lot of frustration in the past (i wrote my own script to reverse the order).
Hello there! Migratr seemed to be EXACTLY what I needed but I couldn’t make it work for me. I’m using Picasa Web Albums (http://picasaweb.google.com/albumdefotosweb) and wanted to copy everything from one Google account to another, without having to label the photos again. But Windows returned that traditional error message (“Migratr encountered and error and has to be closed”, something like this) after the beginning of Step 3. Since the download does not start, I was wondering if it has something to do with letters like “ã” and “õ” in the name of my albums. Please help!!!
Hello there again! I just tried a few more times and now got another error message, as follows:
Migratr.exe – Application Error
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process ID=0xec4 (3780), Thread ID=0×7ec (2028).
Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.
After trying to debug, another windows appeared, as follows:
Migratr.exe – No debugger found
No registered JIT debugger was specified.
Click on Retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually.
Click on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request.
Hope this is useful!!!
Hi Sandra-
In the folder you tried to download your photos to, there should be an error log- Could you please email that to me? callingshotgun@gmail.com
In the meantime, I’ll attempt to duplicate the error using the characters you specified.
Also, if possible, could you post any follow-up in the forum? It works best that way in case other people experience the same problem, and can see the conversation thread in the bug reports area:)
Much appreciated!

Hello, thanks for answering. No log, no files whatsoever in the folder… =(
I’ll register in the forum and copy the conversation there.
OK, conversation may continue here: http://forums.callingshotgun.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=679&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Hey Alex,
Thanks for the program! I’ve only used it once so far so I’m wondering will it do incremental backups? Meaning, I back up all my photos one time and then upload more to the specific service, the next time I run Migratr it will only pull down the new photos?
